A Note from the Artist

My relationship with nature is the grist that informs my work. The landscape is my inspiration and backdrop. I've lived for long periods in the mountains, in the high desert, and now, among cottonwood trees alongside a rocky creek. Each of the landscapes has given me the opportunity to create different kinds of art.

My connection to the land has become about more than one kind of vast beauty, that of sky, water, and vista; it’s deepened to include the vast beauty of the ground and all its delights. Time changes us all. My work is an homage to the effable force that erodes all living beings, that returns me to the ground. With both my photography and installation work, I am trying to bring you into my world. I hope you find truth and beauty there.
